Ink Jet Printer

An inkjet printer was available in the 1980, but was considered by the consumers in 1990 only, due to the fall in prices. Today, an ink jet is found in homes, offices and also in commercial printing firms. The best part of an inkjet printer is that it is relatively low in cost and produces prints of high quality, made possible by the tiny dots of ink.
With time the ink jet printer has under gone changes the three color inkjet printer is now being replaced by four-color model.

However like most non impact color printers an ink jet printer cannot produce multiple copies of a document in a single printing unlike the impact printers. In addition to it, an ink jet printer is not suited for relatively high demands. The cost of a new cartridge may prohibit one from producing higher amount of prints; this is because ink cartridges do not last long. An inject works best on standard twenty-weight paper.

The price of an inject may be less, but the cost of its maintenance is high. You will frequently need to change the cartridges and also need to buy the specially coated paper to get the high quality output.
